SMART Center’s Projects and Activities

Media Consultancy and Media Services for Lebanese NGOs and International Organizations 4- Self and Social Betterment Association a- Media Plan on offline and social media (content of: website, Facebook, You Tube, twitter) b- Preparations for Events: Inviting media, press release, and content of media interviews.

WHO WE ARE?

SMART Center for Media and Advocacy is a national nonprofit organization, established in 2007 and recognized by the Lebanese Government and registered under notification number 395/09 although its activities started since 2008.

SMART Center was founded by a group of civil society activists representing the diversity of Lebanese communities, who are prominent leaders and specialized each in his/her field. They are enthusiastic to influence others and provide individuals and groups with suitable tools to become better citizens and active in the fields of Media, Human Rights, Development, Peace Building, Conflict Resolution, Social Economy, Democracy and Citizenship.

SMART Center combines in its work the various methods of lobbying, action-research, publication, training and raising awareness, developing a better media environment and creating objective media platforms.

SMART Center’s work’s guiding principles are those of the universality of human rights and the participation and inclusion of all target groups and marginalized people in its endeavors.

Mission:

SMART Center fosters development, democracy, citizenship and peace building by empowering civil society organizations and investing in individuals, especially youth and women, to become agents of change and develop their countries.

Vision:

SMART Center’s aims to achieve a breakthrough in increasing human rights values, building citizenship and eliminating all kinds of discrimination in Lebanon and the MENA region.

Actions we Take:

We are a research and training center and we use media tools to promote all social, economical and development causes.

We empower NGOs and Institutions to promote their efforts and build their capacities.

We train journalists and build a network between them and civil society activists and organizations.

We empowers NGOs and help them in their visibility through professional media strategic planning and media services.
